Leah R. Brown, is a film director, editor, and creative writer based in Brooklyn, New York. 

Her directing and editing experience extends across various mediums, including broadcast commercials, fashion editorials, music videos, short documentaries and experimental films.

Primarily, her work gravitates towards the nuanced, within the realm of arthouse and experimental cinema.  She frequently explores themes in fashion, fantasy/sci-fi, and the surreal.

Her films have received acclaim and recognition at prestigious film festivals, including Oscar Qualifying & Canadian Screen Award events ( Hollyshorts Film Festival, Brooklyn Film Festival, Berlin Commercial) and have been featured on thoughtfully curated streaming platforms. In summer of 2023 she served as a juror at the Brooklyn Film Festival, contributing her expertise to the recognition of emerging talent in the field.

Currently, Leah is in partnership with Moviemaker Magazine to direct and write a short creature fantasy horror with her colleague Julia Calabrese which will hit production late 2024.
